Are you a detailed, focused, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working to deadlines and supporting front-line services?

We are looking for someone like you to join our team! The role is part-time, 22.2 hours per week (3 days). If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exchequer services.

What will you be doing?

– progress recovery actions, ensuring prompt payment of invoices and tracing debtors, including liaising with Legal services and/or external collection agencies.
– maintain debtor accounts, ensuring that refunds, credits, cancellations and write-offs are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
– ensure that all Council income is correctly reconciled to the financial system daily.
– produce and dispatch all payments, including BACS payments and remittance advice.

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

– AAT qualification or relevant experience and excellent working knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulations
– you will need to be accurate and possess excellent communication skills
– the ability to work well under pressure and organise your time efficiently
– experience within a busy administration role within an office environment
– confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
– experience of working within exchequer services, delivering accounts receivable, credit control, income reconciliation and some accounts payable
