The post holder will support the work of schools to ensure that Education Services carries out its statutory duties and responsibilities to the highest possible standards. You must also ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with legislation and Harrow’s policies and procedures, in improving the attendance of statutory aged primary and secondary students and in identifying and tracking children who are missing education.
As Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking all the duties and responsibilities as set out in the role profile including supporting school attendance, children missing education and electively home educated pupils. Furthermore, you will support schools and the Local Authority to meet the legal requirements in applying for Education Penalty Notices and court prosecution and tracking children missing education.
This is a term-time-only position, requiring you to work exclusively during the school term.
