We are seeking an ambitious, forward-thinking Senior 1 Physiotherapist to take clinical and operational ownership of our dynamic Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation Service. Working within an innovative, multidisciplinary team, you will drive evidence-based practice and deliver seamless, high-quality continuity of care across both hospital and community settings.
In this high-impact role, you will independently manage a diverse and highly complex caseload spanning cardiorespiratory conditions, frailty, and palliative rehabilitation. You will move beyond standard care, designing bespoke, high-level exercise and lifestyle interventions while managing intersecting co-morbidities like musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopaedic presentations.
To work as an advanced AHP assessing, formulating, diagnosing and treating a complex clinical
caseload as an autonomous physiotherapy practitioner.
To provide specialist information and advice to clients, their families and their Healthcare Professionals
in relation to cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and cardiovascular rehabilitation and its up to date and
evidenced based management.
To facilitate and provide learning opportunities and education to HCS professionals and the wider
community on community cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and cardiovascular rehabilitation in order to
improve knowledge & understanding about cardiorespiratory conditions, as well as reduce its burden
and impact on our community.
To undertake audit activity and service evaluation within own area to support Cardiorespiratory Clinical
Team Lead with strategy and policy development work regarding outpatient cardiorespiratory
physiotherapy and breathlessness rehabilitation supporting the integration of research evidence into
community cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and cardiovascular rehabilitation clinical practice.
To supervise the work of other physiotherapists and assistants within the team in order to deliver a
high quality physiotherapy service.

disciplinary, multi-agency working and holistic patient care.
As part of the primary remit of the community cardiorespiratory and cardiovascular rehabilitation
service, to provide specialist community cardiorespiratory and cardiovascular rehabilitation related
training to HCS & community professionals.
Responsible for developing and implementing clinical audits within own specialist service area,
critically appraising quality, safety, efficiency and evidence base, contributing to community
cardiorespiratory and cardiovascular rehabilitation department governance and quality improvement
agenda. Proposes changes and where appropriate supports implementation by the wider team, taking
into consideration the impact on other professions and departments.
To contribute to and challenge best practice for community cardiorespiratory and cardiovascular
rehabilitation management, in line with discipline guidelines & evidence base.
Responsible for the supervision, development and appraisal of team members, in accordance with
organisational policies and professional standards to ensure that all are motivated, focussed and able
to deliver their individual responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
Supports business planning for physiotherapy aspect of community cardiorespiratory and
cardiovascular rehabilitation services; ensuring this aligns with the Therapy Strategy, plus HCS and
Gov.je strategy where appropriate.
