We are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist SEN school in Crosby from September. This is a full-time, long-term role running until the end of the academic year, offering a highly rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs.

This role is ideal for graduates, sports coaches, drivers, or individuals with experience working with children or vulnerable people, who are passionate about making a positive difference in an SEN setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Help pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Support behaviour management using positive and consistent approaches.
• Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
• Graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, and drivers are strongly encouraged to apply.
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
