Assistant Management Accountant Job at Swadlincote, Derbyshire Full Time NEW

Alexander Daniels are delighted to be supporting a client in the search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance team, contributing to the production of reliable financial reports and helping maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Calculate and post accruals and prepayments
• Analyse gross margins and overhead costs, highlighting variances where appropriate
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register
• Support cash flow management, including cash forecasting activities
• Complete bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash movements
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements
• Prepare monthly service fee calculations and raise associated invoices
• Process supplier payments via online banking platforms
• Handle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations
• Assist with the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors where required

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified
• AAT qualification (or working towards)
