Job Description
Electrician required for a civils contractor in Avonmouth, Bristol
Contract or Permaneant role
Experience required:
Core responsibilities include working with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) control panels, calibrating silo sensors, and programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley) to automate material flow and dust collection.
- Level Measurement & Instrumentation: Calibrating radar level gauges, RF admittance switches, and pressure sensors to monitor inventory and prevent over-pressurization.
- Control Panels: Servicing automated control systems that regulate aeration blowers, screw conveyors, and silo discharge mechanisms.
- Dust Filtration & Environmental: Ensuring reverse-jet dust collectors and pressure relief valves function flawlessly to meet environmental compliance.
- Fault Finding & Breakdown Response: Diagnosing electrical faults, sensor failures, and mechanical interlock issues in the harsh, high-vibration environment of a cement or concrete plant.
