Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Team Member to join our hospitality team. This role combines reception and bar responsabilities which involves welcoming guests, managing check ins, check outs, reservations and operating the bar, whilst providing exceptional guest services to ensure a positive experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanour, and a passion for hospitality. The position offers an engaging environment where organisational skills and a courteous attitude are essential.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
• Manage reservations and cancellations efficiently using our booking system
• Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette and direct inquiries appropriately
• Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to guests
• Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction
• Maintain the front desk area in a neat and organised manner
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
• Process payments accurately and handle administrative tasks as required
• Assist with guest check-out procedures and collect feedback to improve service quality
• Bar & Beverage Service Duties
• Serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks in line with licensing laws
• Prepare basic drinks and pour beer, wine, and spirits
• Operate the bar POS and handle payments accurately
• Check guest age and refuse service where required
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar, glassware, and service areas
• Replenish bar stock and report low stock levels
• Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service excellence
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service principles is desirable
• Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
