We would like to recruit a Salaried GP for 4 sessions a week to join our dedicated and dynamic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, proactive GP with a positive attitude to join our team of 1 GP Partner, 5 Salaried GPs, X2 Practice Nurses, Nurse Associate, HCA, Practice Manager, Secretary and Care Navigator/Reception team.
This is a great opportunity to join our supportive and friendly practice to help provide a high standard of care and continuity to our patients, have compassion and flexibility for the role.
Excellent communication skills, good general IT skill, team player skills are a must.
Please note – this is a 12 month fixed term contract. This will be rolled over for up to three years and then review will take place to discuss if this will be a permanent position.
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Normal duties includes surgery consultations and queries, triaging, visiting patients at home, emergencies, telephone consultations and signing repeat prescriptions, patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations (e.g. Insurance Companies) on behalf of the Practice, referral letters NHS/private paperwork and correspondence.
Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
Teaching and training of doctors and nurses
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, annual QOF Assessment of the Practice.
Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation Attending training, Practice Meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate. For more details of duties, please see full job description.

The role involves will providing general medical services, managing a caseload and dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Annual leave entitlement is six weeks annual leave plus public/ bank holidays (FTE or pro rata for any future P/T positions). Salary is depending on experience. Clinical responsibilities: In accordance with the practice timetable as agreed. The post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations and emergencies, telephone consultations and queries, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations (e.g. Insurance Companies) on behalf of the Practice, referral letters NHS/private, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner; Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation; Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards; Collecting data for audit purposes; For information, please see attached job description.
