Junior Accounts Assistant

Cambridge (Hybrid)

£24,000-£28,000 per annum (depending on education and experience)

A fast-growing Cambridge-based tech company is looking for a Junior Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their accounting career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, innovative environment.

The Role

You’ll support the day-to-day finance operations with a focus on:

• Processing invoices and managing accounts payable
• Handling employee expenses and ensuring compliance with company policies
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records

About You

• Good standard of education (ideally degree educated but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
• Some experience in accounts or finance (placement or entry-level role)
• Comfortable using Excel and finance systems
• A proactive, team-oriented approach
• Studying AAT or looking to start a finance qualification (desirable)
