The Non-Pharmacist Pharmacy Manager is a senior operational leader responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and financially sustainable delivery of pharmacy services. The role focuses on leading and developing the pharmacy team to maintain high performance standards, supporting safe patient care and full compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
The postholder oversees the day-to-day management of pharmacy operations, ensuring workflows are well coordinated, efficient, and aligned with service priorities. A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining strong working relationships with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to support integrated service delivery.
The manager is responsible for the financial performance of the service. This includes driving income generation opportunities, controlling costs, and ensuring resources are used effectively to support long-term sustainability. The role plays a vital part in restoring and maintaining efficient, reliable, and financially accountable pharmacy services, contributing to continuous improvement and organisational success.

The postholder leads, manages, and develops the pharmacy team to deliver consistently high performance, embedding clear standards that support safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. They oversee day-to-day service management, coordinate operational workflows, and maintain strong working relationships with clinical and non-clinical teams. The role is also responsible for driving income streams, controlling costs, and restoring efficient, trustworthy, and financially responsible operations to secure long-term service excellence and organisational improvement in line with company policies and procedures.
SWFT Clinical Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). The company provides a number of services such as outpatient pharmacy facilities at Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, George Eliot, University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and St Cross (Rugby) hospitals; estates and facilities management at Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and Ellen Badger hospitals, Acorn House and Lillington Health Hub; private patient service and consultancy services to NHS Trusts.
Subject to the Company and individual’s performance, an annual discretionary bonus will be awarded.
There is automatic enrolment to the Company pension scheme, with the Company contributing 5%.

Manage the pharmacy business to maximise its profitability in line with annual budgets and KPIs. Control costs and ensure all colleagues operate in line with business requirements and initiatives.

Submits and acts upon InPhase ncidents in a constructive and timely manner
