Were seeking a passionate Physiotherapist to join our new, multidisciplinary Chronic Pain service. Youll play a key role, providing specialist physiotherapy input into the assessment and treatment of people with chronic pain.
This role involves direct clinical care, multidisciplinary teamworking, service development, and quality improvement activities, helping to shape the service and champion biopsychosocial care across our service.
You will be part of a supportive clinical culture and will receive regular supervision, have access to peer learning and close collaboration with the founders and leading Consultants in Pain Medicine.
We are open to discussing the working arrangement and compensation based on your experience and circumstances.
The duties and responsibilities outlined here are indicative of the range and types of duties that will be allocated. They are subject to modification in the light of changing service demands and the development requirements of the post holder.
The post-holder will have the following duties:
Formulate and implement evidence-based interventions for individuals and groups, focusing on rebuilding functional capacity, reducing fear-avoidance, and safely increasing movement.
Deliver in-person and remote care across multiple pathways, including 1:1 treatment plans and group Pain Management Programmes (PMP).
Apply robust clinical reasoning and advanced knowledge of anatomy, pain science, and the biopsychosocial model to design high-impact, short-term care plans
Share physiotherapy insights and guidance with MDT colleagues, contributing to holistic care planning and risk management
Support service quality through involvement in audit, governance, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with primary, community, and tertiary care teams to ensure integrated patient care
Stay up to date with research and best practice in the management of chronic pain
Contribute to the development of our psychologically informed clinical pathways, pain management programme, patient education content, and webinars
Millions of people in the UK live with chronic pain, a burden that affects every part of their lives. Yet the journey to access the care they need can take years. Pastel Health is here to change that; we offer compassionate, multidisciplinary care that helps patients get their lives back on track.
Our mission is to transform the lives of people living with chronic pain whilst making clinical work more fulfilling. This commitment is at the heart of everything we do. We have successfully launched our first service and are preparing to open our second shortly.
We are a start-up, building as we go. This can mean embracing ambiguity, working at pace, and adapting quickly. The journey ahead will be exciting, rewarding, and rich with opportunities to make an impact and advance professionally.
Who we are seeking
If the following sounds like you, we know you’ll be a great fit here:
You care deeply about patients, recognising that how you deliver care is as important as what you deliver.
You love working in a team, learning from and teaching those around you.
You think differently, understanding that we need fresh approaches to solve access challenges and improve outcomes.
You make a difference and want to work in a place where others do too.
