Role Overview

We are seeking a professional, well-presented, and organised Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day front-of-house operations and delivering an excellent client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional manner
• Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls efficiently
• Manage reception area to ensure it is presentable at all times
• Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and courier services
• Book appointments and manage meeting room diaries
• Support legal teams with basic administrative tasks where required
• Maintain confidentiality at all times in line with GDPR and firm policies
• Update client information and logs accurately where needed
• Provide general administrative support to HR and practice teams
• Ensure a high standard of client care and professionalism at all times

Person Specification

• Previous reception or customer service experience (legal experience desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and telephone manner
• Organised, reliable, and able to multitask
• IT literate (MS Office and email systems)
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy office environment
• Team player with a positive and proactive attitude

Desirable

• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Familiarity with case management systems
• Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR compliance

Pay: £24,420.00-£25,000.00 per year
