Main Duties
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Both hospital sites offer key services such as A&E, Obstetrics-led Maternity and Paediatrics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To manage the chemotherapy booking diary on IQEMO to ensure full utilisation of chair capacity on a day to day basis.
2. Manage own day to day workload and adhere to strict timescales working within the Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
3. To escalate any concerns regarding capacity of treatment slots to the deputy service manager and chemotherapy unit team leader.
4. To reschedule patients where treatment has been deferred ensuring that any review and phlebotomy appointments are adjusted accordingly.
5. To answer telephone, emails and face to face enquires in a professional and timely manner using tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
