Main Purpose of the Role
The Support Services Team role is responsible for the consistent, accurate and professional delivery of A to E’s day-to-day operational support functions. Based at our Archway Training Centre in London, you will support the smooth running of core administrative processes across operational finance, HR administration, client and delegate coordination, Training Management System (TMS) activity and training centre operations.
This is a fast-paced, detail-heavy role where accuracy and reliability matter. We are looking for someone who enjoys administration, takes pride in getting things right and is comfortable working at pace in a busy operational environment. You will be expected to manage competing priorities, stay organised under pressure and communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, clients and delegates.
Put simply: you help ensure the operational engine of the business runs properly every day through strong organisation, attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Administration
You will support the day-to-day delivery of core operational administration, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time and to a consistently high standard. This includes maintaining records, processing information across systems and supporting wider operational workflows as required. You will take pride in accuracy and will proactively identify and correct errors before they impact delivery.
Client and Delegate Administration
You will support the full administrative journey for clients and delegates, including responding to enquiries, processing bookings, managing course documentation, issuing confirmations and supporting certification activity. You will communicate clearly and professionally in writing and on the phone, ensuring a consistent and reliable experience.
Training Management System (TMS) Activity
You will use the TMS to support course setup, attendance recording, resource allocation and data entry. You will follow established workflows closely, ensuring information is accurate and complete. Where inconsistencies or issues arise, you escalate appropriately and support resolution.
Operational Finance Administration
You will support operational finance processes including raising invoices, maintaining accurate records and supporting credit control activity. You will work closely with the wider team to ensure data integrity and timely completion of finance-related tasks.
Training Centre Operations
You will support the day-to-day running of the Archway Training Centre, ensuring rooms are prepared, registration processes run smoothly and operational standards are maintained. You will remain calm and organised on delivery days and step in where needed to support the wider team.
Team Contribution and Communication
You will work closely with colleagues across Operations, maintaining open communication and supporting shared objectives. You will be expected to ask questions, take ownership of your workload and contribute positively to a professional, supportive team environment.
Performance & Accountability
You are accountable for completing work accurately and on time, maintaining strong attention to detail across all tasks and consistently following agreed processes. You are expected to communicate clearly and professionally, manage your workload effectively and respond positively to feedback.
Specific performance measures will be agreed during probation and reviewed annually.
PERSON PROFILE
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
You will have experience in an administrative or operational support role within a busy environment. You will be highly organised with strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities at once. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside confidence using systems and working with data.
Desirable
Experience within training, healthcare, education or another service-led environment would be beneficial.
Skills & Competencies
You enjoy administration and take pride in doing it well. You are naturally organised, detail-focused and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership over your work. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment and remain calm and professional when demands increase.
You communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and on the phone. You are proactive, willing to learn and motivated to improve how things are done. You work well as part of a team and bring a positive, practical approach to your role.
Additional Requirements
This is a full-time role with core operational hours between 08:00 and 18:00. Flexibility is required, including early starts, late finishes and occasional weekend working to support course delivery.
The post holder must operate in accordance with all company policies and relevant statutory requirements, including Health & Safety, UK GDPR and data protection legislation, Information Security standards and Financial Governance frameworks.
Progression & Development
As A to E grows, this role offers real scope to increase responsibility and seniority based on performance. We are looking for someone who wants to build capability, shape standards and grow with the organisation.
This role operates within A to E’s organisational values of Accountable, Brilliant, Compassionate, Developmental and Expert, and post holders are expected to demonstrate these in all aspects of their work.
